Solar PV

We have recently completed phase 3 of our solar installation. Our 38kWh solar PV array, complete with myenergi Zappi EV charge point and Eddi power diverter, helping us to move closer to our Net Zero target. During daylight hours the majority of our electricity now comes from solar energy. Excess energy is either pushed back onto the grid or used to provide power to the charge point and heat our water.

Supporting local wildlife

Our testing facility is located on an 8-acre country site. While some of the field is cropped by the local farmer for hay, the remainder is left fallow to support local wildlife, which includes rabbits, deer, foxes, kestrels, buzzards and a vast array of insects.

Hedgerows

dB Technology are proud of our on-going hedgerow reintroduction scheme. We have, to date, planted around 1,500 mixed native, hedgerow plants and trees around 3/4 of our site. These Hedgerows act as habitat corridors, helping animals to travel through open farmland while staying under cover. Hedgerow trees add further variety to the hedge, and provide: food, nesting sites and song posts for wildlife.
